May 4, 2022: Akron, NY 14001 Akron Tigers (Akron, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Albion Purple Eagles (Albion, NY), 15-12 in a league challenge.
The Tigers now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newfane for a Section 6 Niagara - Orleans challenge on Friday, May 6. Akron will face a Panthers squad coming off a 9-8 league loss to Medina (Medina, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 1-6.
With the loss, Albion falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Purple eagles host Wilson (Wilson, NY) to face the Lakemen in a Section 6 Niagara - Orleans challenge on Friday, May 6. The Lakemen enter the challenge with a record of 5-5. Wilson won 15-2 in their recent league challenge against Medina (Medina, NY)
