Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Centennial Chargers (Champaign, IL), 16-1 in a league test.

With the win, Champaign Central upgrades its record to 17-5 on the season. The Maroons host Normal Community (Normal, IL) to battle the Ironmen in a Big Twelve test on Saturday, May 6. The Ironmen come into the test with a record of 17-8. Normal Community lost 5-4 in their recent league test against Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL)

With the defeat, Centennial falls to 7-13 on the season. The Chargers travel to Mattoon (Mattoon, IL) to battle the Greenwave in a non-league test on Friday, May 5. The Greenwave come into the test with a record of 11-9. Mattoon won 17-4 in their recent non-league test against Rantoul (Rantoul, IL)
