In Thursday's non-league contest, the Monroe Hornets (Monroe, OH) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Archbishop Alter Knights (Kettering, OH), by a margin of 12-2.

With the triumph, Monroe moves its record to 5-11 on the year. The Hornets travel to Dixie (New Lebanon, OH) to play the Greyhounds in a non-league contest on Friday, May 5.
