Indiana High School Softball - Eastern Hancock holds off Union County

Eastern Hancock Royals (Charlottesville, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Union County Patriots (Liberty, IN), 10-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Royals now own a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they host Lapel for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. Eastern Hancock will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Madison-Grant (Fairmount, IN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Union County falls to 13-4 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Cambridge City Lincoln (Cambridge City, IN) to battle the Golden Eagles in a Tri-Eastern challenge on Tuesday, May 9. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 7-5. Cambridge City Lincoln lost 7-5 in their recent league challenge against Tri (Straughn, IN)
