May 4, 2024: Maple, WI 54854 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Northwestern Tigers (Maple, WI) and the visiting Elk Mound Mounders (Elk Mound, WI), witnessed Northwestern's softball squad tip Elk Mound by a count of 4-3.
The Tigers now sport a 13-3 record. They play next when they travel to Altoona for a non-league match on Saturday, May 4. Northwestern will face a Railroaders squad coming off a 11-3 league loss to Somerset (Somerset, WI). The Railroaders record now stands at 6-11.
With the loss, Elk Mound moves to 8-5 on the season. The Mounders travel to Colfax (Colfax, WI) to face the Vikings in a Dunn - St. Croix match on Monday, May 6. The Vikings go into the match with a record of 14-2. Colfax won 14-3 in their recent league match against Spring Valley (Spring Valley, WI)
