The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Lyons Lions (Lyons, KS) and the visiting Skyline Thunderbirds (Pratt, KS), saw Lyons's baseball team gain a win over Skyline by a tally of 15-0.

The Lions (14-9) will now prepare for their battle against Southeast of Saline (Gypsum, KS). The Trojans enter the non-league battle with a 15-3 record. In their last battle, Southeast of Saline prevailed over Ellsworth (Ellsworth, KS), 6-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Thunderbirds face the Spearville Royal Lancers (Spearville, KS) in a Southern Plains-Iroquois battle, on Thursday, May 7. Skyline will attempt to upgrade on its 3-17 season record. The Royal Lancers enter the battle with a 16-2 record after their 18-0 league win over Minneola (Minneola, KS).
