New Lothrop Hornets (New Lothrop, MI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Central Montcalm Hornets (Stanton, MI), 11-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, New Lothrop upgrades its record to 15-1 on the season. The Hornets travel to Ovid-Elsie (Elsie, MI) to battle the Marauders in a Mid-Michigan test on Monday, May 9. The Marauders come into the test with a record of 2-2. Ovid-Elsie won 7-1 in their recent league test against Lakeville (Otisville, MI)

With the defeat, Central Montcalm falls to 0-3 on the season. The Hornets travel to Vestaburg (Vestaburg, MI) to battle the Wolverines in a Mid-State test on Friday, May 6. The Wolverines come into the test with a record of 2-2.
