Massachusetts High School Softball - Pittsfield bounces Minnechaug Regional
May 5, 2022: Wilbraham, MA 01095 Pittsfield Generals (Pittsfield, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Minnechaug Regional Falcons (Wilbraham, MA), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Generals now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they host Mount Anthony for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 6. Pittsfield will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 20-2 non-league loss to Wahconah Regional (Dalton, MA). The Patriots record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Minnechaug Regional falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Agawam (Agawam, MA) to battle the Brownies in a PVIAC - Valley challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Brownies enter the challenge with a record of 10-4. Agawam lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Hampshire Regional (Westhampton, MA)
