Virginia High School Soccer - Spotswood knocks off Rockbridge County
May 5, 2023: Penn Laird, VA 22846 Spotswood Trailblazers (Penn Laird, VA) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA), 7-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Trailblazers confront the William Monroe Dragons (Stanardsville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 8. Spotswood will attempt to move on its 12-2 season record. The Dragons enter the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 4-1 league loss to Manassas Park (Manassas Park, VA).
The Wildcats now possess a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they host Turner Ashby for a Valley challenge on Tuesday, May 9. Rockbridge County will confront a Knights team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA). The Knights record now stands at 10-4.
