The Amherst Falcons baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds to 3 in the Falcons league win on Monday.

The Falcons now hold a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Menominee Indian for a Central Wisconsin - East test on Thursday, May 8. Amherst will play a Eagles team coming off a 24-3 league loss to Weyauwega-Fremont (Weyauwega, WI). The Eagles record now stands at 2-9.

With the defeat, Iola-Scandinavia drops to 5-6 on the year. The Thunderbirds host Marion (Marion, WI) to play the Mustangs in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 6. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 3-7.
