The Rainier Columbians the visiting Valley Catholic Valiants baseball squad by a score of 6-2 in Monday's league outing.

Next up, the Columbians battle the Scio Loggers (Scio, OR) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, May 7. Rainier will attempt to advance on its 5-15 season record. The Loggers come into the outing with a 7-12 record after their 4-3 league win over Willamina (Willamina, OR).

The Valiants (7-13) will now prepare for their outing against Neah-Kah-Nie (Rockaway Beach, OR). The Pirates come into the 3A-SD1 Special District 1 outing with a 4-14 record. In their last outing, Neah-Kah-Nie was overwhelmed by Warrenton (Warrenton, OR), 12-1, in a league outing.
