In Monday's league challenge, the host Porter Ridge Pirates lacrosse squad scored a tight 1-0 triumph over the Sun Valley Spartans.

The Pirates (6-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks go into the Southern Carolina/Rocky River challenge with a 16-3 record. In their last challenge, Marvin Ridge held off Weddington (Matthews, NC), 9-8, in a league challenge.
