May 6, 2024: Frankfort, IL 60423 Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Stagg Chargers (Palos Hills, IL), 5-4 in a league test.
With the win, Lincoln-Way East upgrades its record to 18-9 on the season. The Griffins travel to Marist (Chicago, IL) to battle the RedHawks in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 8. The RedHawks come into the test with a record of 11-11. Marist won 5-2 in their recent league test against Carmel (Mundelein, IL)
With the defeat, Stagg falls to 11-16 on the season. The Chargers host Lemont (Lemont, IL) to battle the Lemont HS in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 8. The Lemont HS come into the test with a record of 18-8. Lemont won 15-0 in their recent league test against Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL)
