May 6, 2025: Virginia Beach, VA 23455 The Kempsville Chiefs baseball team scored 2 runs and held the host Bayside Marlins to 1 in the Chiefs league win on Tuesday.
The Chiefs now hold a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they host Great Bridge for a non-league test on Wednesday, May 7. Kempsville will play a Wildcats team coming off a 16-6 league win over Indian River (Chesapeake, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 13-5.
With the defeat, Bayside drops to 6-9 on the year. The Marlins travel to Salem (Virginia Beach, VA) to play the Sundevils in a Beach test on Thursday, May 8. The Sundevils go into the test with a record of 2-12. Salem lost 22-0 in their recent league test against Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA)
