The Southwestern Piasa Birds baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Vandalia Vandals to 4 in the Piasa Birds league win on Tuesday.

The Piasa Birds now own a 9-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Greene for a non-league test on Thursday, May 8.

With the defeat, Vandalia drops to 8-13 on the year. The Vandals travel to Litchfield (Litchfield, IL) to clash with the Purple Panthers in a South Central test on Thursday, May 8. The Purple Panthers go into the test with a record of 18-9. Litchfield won 7-0 in their recent non-league test against Bunker Hill (Bunker Hill, IL)
