May 6, 2025: Johnson City, NY 13790 Owego Free Academy River Hawks (Owego, NY) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their lacrosse team gain a win over the host Johnson City Wildcats (Johnson City, NY), 12-9 in a non-league battle.
With the victory, Owego Free Academy advances its record to 6-2 on the season. The River Hawks host Vestal (Vestal, NY) to encounter the Golden Bears in a non-league battle on Thursday, May 8. The Golden Bears come into the battle with a record of 6-3. Vestal won 12-8 in their recent league battle against Union-Endicott (Endicott, NY)
The Wildcats now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chittenango for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 10. Johnson City will encounter a Bears team coming off a 13-7 non-league win over Wayne (Ontario Center, NY). The Bears record now stands at 2-0.
