Iowa High School Soccer - Center Point-Urbana knocks off Vinton-Shellsburg
May 6, 2025: Center Point, IA 52213 The Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers (Center Point, IA) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings (Vinton, IA), 5-1 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Stormin' Pointers now hold a 12-3 record. They play next when they travel to Benton for a WaMac-West bout on Thursday, May 8. Center Point-Urbana will play a Bobcats squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Wapello (Wapello, IA). The Bobcats record now stands at 6-8.
With the loss, Vinton-Shellsburg moves to 10-7 on the year. The Vikings host Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Thursday, May 8. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Mt. Vernon lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA)
