South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles (Canton, MI), 4-2 in a non-league bout.

The Cougars (10-14) will now prepare for their bout against Detroit Country Day (Beverly Hills, MI). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league bout with a 6-10 record. In their last bout, Detroit Country Day tipped Warren Woods-Tower (Warren, MI), 8-7, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Lutheran Warriors (Westland, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, May 8. Plymouth Christian Academy will attempt to advance on its 14-7 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 15-3 non-league win over Clarenceville (Livonia, MI).
