The Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) softball nipped the visiting York Dukes (Elmhurst, IL), 12-11 in Wednesday's league outing.

The Lions now sport a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Naperville Central for a non-league outing on Thursday, May 7. Lyons will encounter a Redhawks team coming off a 12-0 league win over Waubonsie Valley (Aurora, IL). The Redhawks record now stands at 17-8.

With the loss, York moves to 14-11 on the season. The Dukes host Hinsdale Central (Hinsdale, IL) to encounter the Red Devils in a West Suburban - Silver outing on Friday, May 8.
