Pittston Patriots (Pittston, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Wilkes-Barre (Wilkes-Barre, PA), 11-6 in a league test.

With the win, Pittston upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Patriots host Valley View (Archbald, PA) to battle the Cougars in a non-league test on Saturday, May 8. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 8-5. Valley View won 9-3 in their recent league test against West Scranton (Scranton, PA)

With the defeat, Wilkes-Barre falls to 7-9 on the season. The host Wyoming Valley West (Plymouth, PA) to battle the Spartans in a Wyoming Valley 1 test on Saturday, May 8. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 6-4. Wyoming Valley West won 13-9 in their recent league test against Tunkhannock (Tunkhannock, PA)
