Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Watertown Red Raiders (Watertown, MA), 20-10 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Lowell Catholic for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 9. Wilmington will battle a Crusaders squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Whittier RVT (Haverhill, MA). The Crusaders record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Watertown falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Red raiders host Burlington (Burlington, MA) to battle the Red Devils in a Middlesex challenge on Tuesday, May 10. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a record of 11-0.
