New York High School Softball - Bishop Loughlin bounces Sacred Heart
May 7, 2024: Brooklyn, NY 11238 Bishop Loughlin Lions (Brooklyn, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Sacred Heart Irish (Yonkers, NY), 24-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Lions now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Nazareth for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 9. Bishop Loughlin will face a Kingsmen squad coming off a 20-3 non-league win over Christ the King (Middle Village, NY). The Kingsmen record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Sacred Heart falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Irish travel to St. Saviour (Brooklyn, NY) to face the Panda Bears in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 8. The Panda Bears enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. St. Saviour lost 17-15 in their recent non-league challenge against Cathedral (New York, NY)
