May 8, 2025: Goreville, IL 62939 The Goreville Blackcats triumphed over the visiting Crab Orchard Trojans baseball squad by a score of 7-0 in Thursday's non-league outing.
Next up, the Blackcats battle the Vienna Eagles (Vienna, IL) in a Black Diamond West outing, on Friday, May 9. Goreville will attempt to advance on its 18-7 season record. The Eagles come into the outing with a 12-11 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Anna-Jonesboro (Anna, IL).
The Trojans (6-12) will now prepare for their outing against Cobden (Cobden, IL). The Appleknockers come into the non-league outing with a 3-8 record. In their last outing, Cobden was overwhelmed by Century (Ullin, IL), 5-3, in a non-league outing.
