April 23, 2025: Carrier Mills, IL 62917 The Goreville Blackcats (Goreville, IL) baseball trounced the host Carrier Mills-Stonefort Wildcats (Carrier Mills, IL), 21-0 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
The Blackcats now own a 13-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Zeigler-Royalton for a challenge on Thursday, April 24. Goreville will clash with a Tornadoes team coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL). The Tornadoes record now stands at 18-3.
With the defeat, Carrier Mills-Stonefort drops to 2-10 on the year. The Wildcats host Norris City-Omaha-Enfield (Norris City, IL) to clash with the Fighting Cardinals in a Greater Egyptian challenge on Thursday, April 24. The Fighting Cardinals go into the challenge with a record of 2-8. Norris City-Omaha-Enfield lost 6-2 in their recent league challenge against Galatia/Thompsonville (Galatia, IL)
