May 7, 2025: Swampscott, MA 01907 The crowd at Wednesday's league battle between the Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA) and the host Swampscott Big Blue (Swampscott, MA), saw Winthrop's baseball team gain a win over Swampscott by a tally of 2-0.
The Vikings (2-11) will now prepare for their battle against Wakefield Memorial (Wakefield, MA). The Warriors enter the non-league battle with a 10-3 record. In their last battle, Wakefield Memorial held off Stoneham (Stoneham, MA), 4-2, in a league battle.
Next, the Big Blue face the Salem Witches (Salem, MA) in a Northeastern - South battle, on Friday, May 9. Swampscott will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record.
