In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Apple Valley Eagles softball team scored a nice 12-3 victory over the Richfield Spartans.

The Eagles (5-11) will now prepare for their match against Roosevelt (Minneapolis, MN). The Teddies go into the non-league match with a 3-8 record. In their last match, Roosevelt was routed by Minneapolis Southwest (Minneapolis, MN), 12-2, in a league match.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Edina Hornets (Edina, MN) in a non-league match, on Friday, May 9. Richfield will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Hornets go into the match with a 10-7 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Hastings (Hastings, MN).
