Lightridge Lightning (Aldie, VA) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Riverside Ram (Leesburg, VA), 6-2 in a league game.

With the triumph, Lightridge improves its record to 12-0 on the year. The Lightning host Stone Bridge (Ashburn, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a game on Tuesday, May 12. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 4-6. Stone Bridge won 22-8 in their recent non-league game against Briar Woods (Ashburn, VA)

The Ram now hold a 9-4 record. They play next when they host Langley for a non-league game on Monday, May 11. Riverside will play a Saxons squad coming off a 8-3 non-league win over Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA). The Saxons record now stands at 4-1.
