The Glen Lake Lakers triumphed over the host Mason County Eastern Cardinals softball squad by a count of 16-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Lakers meet the Buckley Bears (Buckley, MI) in a Northwest challenge, on Tuesday, May 12. Glen Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Bears enter the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI).

The Cardinals (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Shelby (Shelby, MI). The Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 17-3 record. In their last challenge, Shelby was routed by Hart (Hart, MI), 13-12, in a non-league challenge.
