May 8, 2023: Belfast, ME 04915 In Monday's league contest, the Belfast Lions (Belfast, ME) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Winslow Black Raiders (Winslow, ME), by a margin of 10-0.
With the triumph, Belfast moves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Lions host Lawrence (Fairfield, ME) to play the Bulldogs in a Class B North contest on Tuesday, May 9. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 5-2. Lawrence won 8-7 in their recent non-league contest against Gardiner (Gardiner, ME)
In their next game, the Black Raiders play the Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME) in a non-league contest, on Friday, May 12. Winslow will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Huskies come into the contest with a 4-3 record after their 17-11 non-league win over St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME).
