May 8, 2023: Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064 In Monday's non-league contest, the North Yarmouth Academy Panthers (Yarmouth, ME) softball team overwhelmed the host Old Orchard Beach Seagulls (Old Orchard Beach, ME), by a margin of 17-1.
With the triumph, North Yarmouth Academy moves its record to 5-0 on the year. The Panthers travel to Maranacook (Readfield, ME) to play the Black Bears in a non-league contest on Wednesday, May 10. The Black Bears come into the contest with a record of 4-1. Maranacook won 9-3 in their recent league contest against Sacopee Valley (Cornish, ME)
In their next game, the Seagulls play the Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, May 9. Old Orchard Beach will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Capers come into the contest with a 4-2 record after their 18-4 league loss to Wells (Wells, ME).
