New Hampshire High School Softball - Newport gets by Monadnock
May 8, 2024: Newport, NH 03773 The Newport Tigers nipped the visiting Monadnock Huskies softball squad by a final score of 6-5 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Tigers (10-0) will now prepare for their battle against Fall Mountain (Langdon, NH). The Wildcats go into the non-league battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Fall Mountain held off Hinsdale (Hinsdale, NH), 12-0, in a non-league battle.
The Huskies now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Kearsarge for a Division III battle on Friday, May 10. Monadnock will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 18-4 league win over Mascoma (Canaan, NH). The Cougars record now stands at 3-7.
