The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Alliance Aviators (Alliance, OH) and the visiting Minerva Lions (Minerva, OH), saw Alliance's baseball team get by Minerva by a tally of 9-8.

The Aviators (17-5) will now prepare for their battle against Lake (Uniontown, OH). The Blue Streaks enter the non-league battle with a 12-8 record. In their last battle, Lake held off Aurora (Aurora, OH), 8-2, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Lions face the Carrollton Warriors (Carrollton, OH) in a Eastern Buckeye battle, on Friday, May 9. Minerva will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 13-4 record after their 12-3 league win over West Branch (Beloit, OH).
