West Virginia High School Baseball - Capital sneaks past Clay County
May 8, 2025: Charleston, WV 25311 The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Capital Cougars (Charleston, WV) and the visiting Clay County Panthers (Clay, WV), saw Capital's baseball team get by Clay County by a tally of 13-12.
The Cougars (8-16) will now prepare for their battle against Sherman (Seth, WV). The Tide enter the non-league battle with a 9-11 record.
Next, the Panthers face the Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, WV) in a non-league battle, on Monday, May 12. Clay County will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Bison enter the battle with a 14-12 record after their 10-7 non-league loss to South Charleston (South Charleston, WV).
