May 8, 2025: Hinton, WV 25951 The Summers County Bobcats baseball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Greenbrier West Cavaliers to 1 in the Bobcats non-league win on Thursday.
The Bobcats now own a 13-18 record. They take the field next when they host Princeton for a non-league test on Friday, May 9. Summers County will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to PikeView (Princeton, WV). The Tigers record now stands at 4-23.
With the defeat, Greenbrier West drops to 6-14 on the year. The Cavaliers host Mount View (Welch, WV) to clash with the Golden Knights in a Coalfield A test on Monday, May 12. The Golden Knights go into the test with a record of 13-7. Mount View won 13-3 in their recent non-league test against Grundy (Grundy, VA)
