Michigan High School Volleyball - Northview over Washtenaw Christian Academy
May 8, 2025: Saline, MI 48176 In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Northview Wildcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Washtenaw Christian Academy Wildcats.
The Wildcats (12-9) will now prepare for their challenge against HEA Firebirds HomeSchool (Wayne, MI). The come into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, HEA Firebirds HomeSchool beat Crosspointe Christian Academy (Indianapolis, IN), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats meet the Start Spartans (Toledo, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 12. Washtenaw Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 7-12 record after their 3-0 league loss to Perrysburg (Perrysburg, OH).
Match Summary
SALINE - This was the second to last match for the Northview Wildcats in the 2025 campaign and, after a slow start to set one, the Cats really dialed in and were able to be victorious over Washtenaw Christian winning 2-0 in the best of three format match.
Leading for the Cats was junior middle blocker, Nolan Smith, with 10 kills on 12 attempts with 0 errors, hitting .750. Junior opposite hitter, Connor Pieja recorded 4 kills, hitting .250. Senior libero, Johnny Krolak, recorded a team-high 13 digs, while passing a 2.58 on the match and senior setter, Dillon Ersig recorded 18 assists, 5 aces and 3 kills.
