The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils (Grosse Pointe, MI) and the host L'Anse Creuse North Crusaders (Macomb, MI), saw Grosse Pointe South's baseball team beat L'Anse Creuse North by a margin of 9-5.

The Blue Devils (20-11) will now prepare for their battle against Dakota (Macomb, MI). The Cougars enter the non-league battle with a 14-4 record. In their last battle, Dakota held off Utica Eisenhower (Shelby Township, MI), 9-5, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Crusaders face the Monroe Trojans (Monroe, MI) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, May 10. L'Anse Creuse North will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 14-11 record after their 12-4 non-league loss to Skyline (Ann Arbor, MI).
