The Metcalfe County Hornets softball squad (Edmonton, KY), was routed 15-0 in Thursday's non-league contest with the visiting Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY)

With the triumph, Monroe County improves its record to 4-16 on the year. The Falcons host Cumberland County (Burkesville, KY) to face the Panthers in a non-league contest on Monday, May 12. The Panthers enter the contest with a record of 10-12. Cumberland County won 4-0 in their recent non-league contest against Casey County (Liberty, KY)

The Hornets now hold a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Fort Knox for a non-league contest on Friday, May 9. Metcalfe County will face a Eagles squad coming off a 18-0 league loss to North Hardin (Radcliff, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 3-19.
