In Friday's league bout, the Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA), by a tally of 13-1.

Next up, the Vikings encounter the Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) in a Blue Ridge bout, on Tuesday, May 12. Northside will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the bout with a 4-13 record after their 14-4 league loss to Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA).

The Colonels (1-15) will now prepare for their bout against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers enter the Blue Ridge bout with a 10-8 record. In their last bout, Lord Botetourt was overwhelmed by William Byrd (Vinton, VA), 5-2, in a league bout.
