Conant Cougars (Hoffman Estates, IL) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Saint Viator Lions (Arlington Heights, IL), 13-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Conant upgrades its record to 14-6 on the year. The Cougars host Lane Tech (Chicago, IL) to play the Champions in a non-league game on Thursday, May 14. The Champions enter the game with a record of 17-8. Lane Tech won 16-0 in their recent league game against Northside (Chicago, IL)

The Lions now own a 3-21 record. They play next when they travel to Joliet Catholic for a East Suburban Catholic game on Saturday, May 9. Saint Viator will play a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 7-5 non-league loss to Manteno (Manteno, IL). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 7-18.
