Kansas High School Softball - Augusta bounces Wellington
May 9, 2022: Augusta, KS 67010 Augusta Orioles (Augusta, KS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Wellington Crusaders (Wellington, KS), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Orioles now own a 5-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clearwater for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 12. Augusta will battle a Indians squad coming off a 17-7 non-league win over Circle (Towanda, KS). The Indians record now stands at 13-0.
With the loss, Wellington falls to 5-8 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Mulvane (Mulvane, KS) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 11. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 9-5. Mulvane won 13-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Buhler (Buhler, KS)
