Massachusetts High School Softball - New Bedford bounces Barnstable
May 9, 2022: Hyannis, MA 02601 New Bedford Whalers (New Bedford, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Barnstable Red Hawks (Hyannis, MA), 21-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Whalers now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they host Somerset Berkley Regional for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. New Bedford will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 17-2 league win over Wareham (Wareham, MA). The Raiders record now stands at 8-3.
With the loss, Barnstable falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Red hawks host Falmouth (Falmouth, MA) to battle the Clippers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 11. The Clippers enter the challenge with a record of 8-4. Falmouth won 18-0 in their recent league challenge against Nantucket (Nantucket, MA)
