May 9, 2023: St. Marys, OH 45885 The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Memorial Roughriders (St. Marys, OH) and the visiting Elida Bulldogs (Elida, OH), saw Memorial's softball squad nip Elida by a count of 8-1.
The Roughriders now sport a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host Napoleon for a non-league match on Friday, May 12. Memorial will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Tinora (Defiance, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-13.
With the loss, Elida falls to 11-10 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Celina (Celina, OH) to face the Bulldogs in a Western Buckeye match on Monday, May 15. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 8-14. Celina lost 10-0 in their recent non-league match against Bryan (Bryan, OH)
