New Jersey High School Lacrosse - Verona held off by Roxbury
May 9, 2024: Verona, NJ 07043 Roxbury Gaels (Succasunna, NJ) boosters exited the stadium content Thursday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad nip the host Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ), 14-13 in a non-league battle.
The Gaels now own a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they host Northern Highlands for a battle on Thursday, May 9. Roxbury will clash with a Highlanders squad coming off a 14-7 non-league loss to Immaculate Heart Academy (Washington Township, NJ). The Highlanders record now stands at 9-6.
In their next game, the Hillbillies clash with the Mountain Lakes Lakers (Mountain Lakes, NJ) in a non-league battle, on Monday, May 13. Verona will attempt to advance on its 2-12 season record. The Lakers come into the battle with a 5-9 record after their 13-8 league loss to Morris Knolls (Rockaway, NJ).
