New York High School Softball - Wellsville bounces Hornell
May 9, 2024: Hornell, NY 14843 Wellsville Lions (Wellsville, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Hornell Red Raiders (Hornell, NY), 18-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Lions now sport a 14-1 record. They take the field next when they host Webster Schroeder for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 10. Wellsville will face a Warriors squad coming off a 4-3 league win over Fairport (Fairport, NY). The Warriors record now stands at 16-1.
With the loss, Hornell falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Red raiders travel to Letchworth (Gainesville, NY) to face the Legends in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 10. The Legends enter the challenge with a record of 7-4. Letchworth won 14-5 in their recent league challenge against Le Roy (Le Roy, NY)
