New York High School Softball - Indian River bounces Watertown
May 9, 2024: Watertown, NY 13601 The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Indian River Warriors (Philadelphia, NY) and the host Watertown Cyclones (Watertown, NY), saw Indian River's softball squad nip Watertown by a count of 16-11.
The Warriors now sport a 1-10 record. They take the field next when they host Carthage for a Section 3 Frontier A match on Friday, May 10. Indian River will face a Comets squad coming off a 23-0 non-league loss to South Jefferson (Adams, NY). The Comets record now stands at 2-10.
With the loss, Watertown falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Cyclones travel to South Jefferson (Adams, NY) to face the Spartans in a non-league match on Friday, May 10. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 13-1. South Jefferson won 23-0 in their recent non-league match against Carthage (Carthage, NY)
