Oregon High School Softball - Willamina bounces St. Paul
May 9, 2024: Willamina, OR 97396 Willamina Bulldogs (Willamina, OR) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting St. Paul Buckaroos (St. Paul, OR), 21-2 in a league challenge.
The Bulldogs now sport a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they host Vernonia for a 2A/1A-SD1 Special District 1 challenge on Friday, May 10. Willamina will face a Loggers squad coming off a 21-6 league loss to Gaston (Gaston, OR). The Loggers record now stands at 0-15.
With the loss, St. Paul falls to 11-5 on the campaign. The Buckaroos travel to Nestucca (Cloverdale, OR) to face the Bobcats in a 2A/1A-SD1 Special District 1 challenge on Friday, May 10. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 6-9. Nestucca won 21-10 in their recent league challenge against Perrydale (Amity, OR)
