The Parkersburg Big Reds baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Athens Bulldogs to 6 in the Big Reds non-league win on Friday.

The Big Reds now own a 13-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cabell Midland for a Mountain State test on Monday, May 12.

With the defeat, Athens drops to 16-4 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Jackson (Jackson, OH) to play the Ironman/Ironladies in a non-league test on Saturday, May 10. The Ironman/Ironladies go into the test with a record of 16-0. Jackson won 12-2 in their recent league test against McClain (Greenfield, OH)
