April 18, 2025: The Plains, OH 45780 The Athens Bulldogs (The Plains, OH) baseball trounced the visiting Marietta Tigers (Marietta, OH), 15-5 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Bulldogs now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they host Vinton County for a Tri-Valley - Ohio challenge on Monday, April 21. Athens will clash with a Vikings team coming off a 15-3 non-league loss to Miami Trace (Washington Court House, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 1-3.
With the defeat, Marietta drops to 4-9 on the year. The Tigers travel to Parkersburg South (Parkersburg, WV) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 22. The Patriots go into the challenge with a record of 13-7. Parkersburg South won 11-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Washington (Charles Town, WV)
