The Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Manasquan Warriors to 5 in the Garnet Gulls non-league win on Friday.

The Garnet Gulls now hold a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Toms River North for a non-league test on Saturday, May 10. Point Pleasant Beach will play a Mariners team coming off a 8-7 non-league win over St. Rose (Belmar, NJ). The Mariners record now stands at 8-9.

With the defeat, Manasquan drops to 12-5 on the year. The Warriors host Liberty (Jackson, NJ) to play the Lions in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 13. The Lions go into the test with a record of 6-11.
