Houlton Shiretowners (Houlton, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Calais Blue Devils (Calais, ME), 14-2 in a league challenge.

The Shiretowners now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Kent for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 7.

With the loss, Calais falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Machias (Machias, ME) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 1. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 8-5. Machias won 10-2 in their recent league challenge against Shead (Eastport, ME)
